Nice little platformer where you need to gather gems to continue exploring new planets.
This was extremely fun! I thought the ending was very funny ;)
Hi Anthera, I'm glad you liked it. Thank you for sticking with it til the end :)
Just started playing it, and it's a really enjoyable little game so far. I found an odd bug, though. Whenever I get a game over and hit retry, it always restarts me one level above where I originally was. So restarting C2 will take me to C3, and restarting on C5 will take me to D1. More of an annoyance than anything, but I thought you might want to know.
Hi WanderingShadow, Thank you for bringing this bug to my attention, I will look into it and try and have a fix out soon.
Also Im glad you're enjoying 8 Bit Space :)
Cheers,
Simon
Right off the bat, that intro tune sucked me in. I don't have much experience with the ZX Spectrum, but I definitely know the look - and this game screamed ZX!
The challenge was decent throughout, and that ending was fantastic! Great game :)
HI Round2Gaming, Im glad you liked it, also its awesome that you took the time to complete it. :)
Level design is artistic and intuitive. The game can be as challenging as the player needs it to be, which is a great feature. I'm not familiar with ZX Spectrum but I love the retro style.
Thank you Mahorova, I'm glad you liked it. You should defiantly check out some Zx spectrum games on emulation there were some true classics :)
Hi! I liked your game. I did a (bad) speedrun of it:
Thats fantastic!
under 30min too, I think you now hold the record :)
I died unintentionally a few times too, so better times are definitely to come. :)
Would be interesting to see what the fastest time possible is, good luck! :)
Nice game with nice graphics and really cool soundtrack. It was really fun to explore. I've got some issues, though...
First of all, I'd say that the lack of pixel rounding in 'retro' games is a cardinal sin. It really bothers me ^.^'
Second of all, the 'metroidvania' tag isn't fitting for this game. Backtracking with new abilities is essential for a game to be called that.
And lastly, the game is just very easy. The enemies are either too slow or too scarce for most planets to be challenging.
But other than that, it was a really fun experience and I don't regret 100%ing your game at all :3
HI Nnaa, thank you for your feedback.
I agree the game is more a mini exploration platformer game than a metroidvania.
I wanted the emphasis of the game to be more focused on exploration than challenging gameplay but you are right the game is a little too easy.
Im currently working on the sequel and it will be more challenging.
Thats awesome that you %100 completed it. It's always cool to hear from players that took the time to fully finish the game.
I'm really glad you liked it :)
Cheers
HI Jack, i'm glad you enjoyed 8 Bit Space :)
Hey. Great game! The art looks cute! Well done.
Are you interested in a co-op bundle? I recently finished an update for my game ([DIS] Assemble) and we are making a black friday bundle with another game.
HI Mikomoares, thank for the offer but I'm not looking into joining any bundles at the mo.
Good luck though (Dis) Assemble looks a fun game :)
Having serious issues with this on PC. I don't know if there are supposed to be invisible instakill barriers in random places or if it's some sort of odd bug, but either way it's rendering the whole thing unplayable. A shame as the little I have played of it seems to have a lot of potential.
HI Halftheisland, that's not good, its defiantly not by design. Thanks for bring this to my attention. I will look into it now.
I have found the problem, I will start work fixing the bug now and hopefully have an update out within the next few days. sorry for the inconvenience.
That's great, I really enjoyed what I could play of the game and look forward to playing more of it soon!
The new version is now up.
I'm really happy you're enjoying 8 Bit Space its always nice to read positive comments from players :)

HI Suiciniv2d, thank you for the kind comment, I'm glad you like the game :)
It says now available on PC, but only let's me have the android version...why?
HI Evanspaul, the link is now up, sorry about that.
When installing it on android it says it has a trojan :(
